The BIRN offers a diverse array of infrastructure resources and software tools to the biomedical community. BIRN is committed to providing a collaborative infrastructure and sharing of new software tools to support the advancement of data acquisition protocols, data analysis, data management, and universal practices in multi-site collaborative research.
Do you have tools that would benefit from integration with the BIRN infrastructure and thereby benefit the scientific community?
At the center of the BIRN project is its scalable cyberinfrastructure—a cohesive implementation of key information technologies, applications and intuitive portal environment—designed to support interdisciplinary investigations among teams of biomedical researchers. Such applications might include: software for data calibration and normalization, data management systems, advanced image analysis software, ontology enabled software tools, visualization software, or unique portal applications.
If you believe integration of your software would be useful to the larger scientific community and/or the current BIRN projects please contact the BIRN test bed where your software may be applicable or the BIRN Coordinating Center. They will help review applicability and appropriate requirements in order to determine the best path for integrating your tool with the overall BIRN infrastructure.

BIRN is committed to an open source policy, and all software downloaded from BIRN is made available without unreasonable restrictions, as dictated in our Software License.
